MQ-2 Semiconductor Sensor for Combustible Gas
The sensitive material of the MQ-2 gas sensor is SnO2, which has lower conductivity in clean air. When the target combustible gas exists, The sensor conductivity is higher along with the gas concentration rising. Please use a simple electrocircuit and convert the change of conductivity to the corresponding output signal of gas concentration.
MQ-2 gas sensor has high sensitivity to LPG, Propane and Hydrogen and, also be used for Methane and other combustible steam, it is with low cost and suitable for different applications.
Features:
To power the MQ2 gas sensor, you will need to connect the VCC pin to a 5V source. The GND pin should connect to the ground. The DOUT pin can connect to a digital input pin on your microcontroller. The AOUT pin can connect to an analogue input pin on your microcontroller.
Here are some of the key features of the MQ2 gas sensor:
- Can detect a variety of flammable gases and smoke
- Has a sensitivity range of 200 to 10,000 ppm
- Is relatively inexpensive and easy to use
- Can integrate into a variety of applications
