ADS1115 Analog-to-Digital Converter
The Raspberry Pi ADC ADS1115 16-bit ADC 4 channel with programmable gain amplifier is a versatile and high-precision module that can be used to convert analog signals to digital signals. It is a programmable gain amplifier with ADS1115 16-bit ADC of 4 channels. This module is perfect for Raspberry Pi and microcontrollers without an Analog-to-digital converter. When you want a higher-precision ADC, this ADS1115 provides 16-bit precision at 860 samples/ second over I2C.
This module can be configured as 4 single-end input channels or two differential channels. It also includes a programmable gain amplifier up to x16 to help boost smaller single/differential signals to the full range. This ADC can run from 2V to 5V power/logic. It can measure a large range of signals and is super easy to use. This module is a 16-bit general-purpose converter.
This chip is fairly small, so it comes on a breakout board with ferrites to keep the AVDD and AGND quiet. Its interfacing is done through I2C. The address can be changed to one of four options, so you can have up to 4 ADS1115’s
Pin Description of ADS1115:
- It has an A0 to A3 analog pins.
- It has an ALRT or Alert input pin.
- It also contains Address Pin.
- It has SDA and SCL pins.
- It has a Ground pin.
- It also contains a VDD pin.
